I prepared these shots to post here but for some reason that is now forgotten it never happened. Anyway here are a couple of shots taken in my yard.
I know I haven't been around here recently. Actually it is quite a while. Things have been a bit busy. Nothing major just normal things piling up a bit which meant I didn't have much time for taking photographs or blogging. Once you get out of the habit it is not so easy to get going again.
I have visited from time to time just to see what is happening here so I haven't been a complete stranger.
Took this photo earlier in summer during a quick trip through the mountains west of Sydney.
Sometimes (ok often) I go out to take one photo but come back with another. That is what happened here. I was in a spot where a rail line passes through a park and was intending to take a couple of photos of trains when I saw these growing at the base of the embankment the railway is on.
The recent rains have been good to the garden. Yesterday evening, between showers, I wandered around taking a few photos.
Insects or birds have feasting on this flower in the process scattering pollen over its petals.
